Armenia
Iran to collaborate with Armenia on 3 Bln Usd projects. Iran has considerable experience in road construction, particularly bridge construction and the construction sector in general.

Azerbaijan
Turkic Countries agree on single latin-based alphabet. During its third meeting, the Turkic World Common Alphabet Commission agreed on a proposal for a Latin-based Common Turkic Alphabet consisting of 34 letters. All relevant institutions are encouraged to support the effective implementation of the Common Turkic Alphabet.

Georgia
Uzbekistan has officially launched the construction of a sizeable multifunctional terminal within the Poti Free Industrial Zone. This project spans an area of 30 hectares, with a total investment estimated at GEL 50mn ( 18.3 Min Usd). The Poti Free Industrial Zone, established in 2008, offers significant advantages, including a zero tax rate on VAT, profit, dividends, property, and imports. Its strategic location adjacent to Georgia's most important port enhances its appeal for international trade.

Kyrgyzstan
Kyrgyzstan has established new regulations regarding transit payments for goods imported from Europe and China, effective September 30. Under these rules, banks in Kyrgyzstan will require senders of payments to sign a guarantee document confirming that goods will be delivered to the country within 60 days. This decree prohibits payments for goods, works, and services to foreign companies without delivering products to Kyrgyzstan for one year. Notably, exceptions will be made for specific state-owned companies that receive government approval.

Tajikistan
The Saudi Development Fund has allocated 100 Mln Usd to finance the completion of the Rogun hydropower plant in Tajikistan.

White Hill Capital launches 5 Mln Usd venture fund to support IT startups in Tajikistan. The Central Asia Country is confidently moving towards economic growth and strengthening its position in the international arena. In 2023, the country's gross domestic product reached 8.4 Bln Usd, facilitated by the active development of digital technologies.



Turkmenistan
The Ambassador of Italy to Ashgabat, Luigi Ferrari, attended the 2024 International Conference and Expo "Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan" being held in the capital of Turkmenistan.

Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan set to integrate Mobile Payment Services in effort to boost tourism. The government adopted a resolution that mandates the Central Bank to negotiate with global payment companies like PayPal, Alipay, and UniPay by the end of this year. The objective is facilitating their integration with Uzbekistan's payment systems and banking services. This development is expected to streamline financial transactions for tourists and local businesses.

IFC announced a 240 Mln Usd Islamic Equity Bridge Loan (EBL) financing for ACWA Power to support the development of Uzbekistan's renewable energy sector on the sidelines of the 8th Future Investment Institute conference in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This investment represents an opportunity for IFC to engage again with ACWA Power in strategically leveraging innovative financial structures to unlock new opportunities for collaboration.
